  • Susan Moon, DVM

    Dr. Susan Moon has practiced at Brooks Road Animal Hospital throughout her career. A 1984 graduate of Louisiana State, University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Moon began working  at Brooks Road Animal Hospital in July of 1984 and purchased the practice in 1990.

    Dr. Moon is a member of the AVMA, and has served on the boards of the TVMA and the Memphis/Shelby County VMA.

    Dr. Moon and her husband Mark Weaver, an architect, are the parents of three children and three dogs.

    Dr. Moon is active as a Sunday school teacher and children's mission leader at First Baptist Church of Memphis. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, and knitting.

  • Shawn Barnett, LVMT

    Senior Technician

    Shawn has been on staff at Brooks Road Animal Hospital for 21 years. She is a Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician with a degree from St. Petersburg College. She is responsible for nursing care of patients, inventory, lab management and staff supervision.

  • Cindy Ray, BA

    Client Services Coordinator 

    Cindy has been employed as a receptionist with Brooks Road Animal Hospital since August 2000. Cindy's role encompasses all areas of dealing with clients, management, billing, and client education. Cindy has a B.A in English with Focus studies in Emergency Management.

  • Candice James

    Veterinary Assistant 

    Candice has been employed as a veterinary technician with Brooks Road Animal Hospital since December 2000. Candice's role encompasses all areas of pet care including grooming, kennel, management, nursing, laboratory procedures, surgical assisting, and client education. Candice has a special interest in weight loss management and diet counseling. Candice is pursuing an A.A.S. in veterinary technology with the goal of becoming a Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician.

    Candice has a son, Rian, and a Yorkshire Terrier. She is a huge fan of the Rottweiler breed.
